MENSSDA True 6AH Capacity Replacement Battery

MENSSDA True 6AH Capacity Replacement Battery

Tier B

by MENSSDA

$29.00

This battery is not for high-power applications, but it's absolutely solid. Fantastic construction, actually exceeds its stated capacity, and no safety issues. Nearly identical to the Lidaiax and xiuqiyu packs, their low-current cells cannot sustain saw-level power output, but they are ideal packs for drill/impact driver use. Upgrade the cells and these become S/A-tier.

Ratings

Honesty
4 / 5

Actual capacity 5.3Ah, not quite "True 6.0Ah Capacity", but close!

Durability
3 / 5

Great mechanical construction. Robust tool contacts. Though cannot sustain high power due to cells overheating.

Capacity
5 / 5

Actual capacity 5.3Ah.

Power
0.5 / 5

Low-current cells are not suited for hard power tool use.

Safety
4.5 / 5

Great electrical construction, no red flags.

Cycling Test

We cycle the batteries at high-power (800W for 20s on, then 20W for 6s off) to reflect their actual usage in high-load scenarios like circular saw use.

Cycles survived: 4 | Failure mode: Battery thermistor reached cutoff

Capacity Test

We measure the amount of usable energy the pack supplies from 100% to 0% charge.

Capacity: 95.2 Wh (88% of stated 6 Ah @ 18V Nominal)

Pack Internal Resistance Test

Pack Resistance: 71.7 mOhm (average value of pack resistance between 17.5 and 18.5 V)

Failure Test

The battery is stepped through 30s at increasing current levels, ignoring safety features like temperature and voltage warnings, until the pack fails catastrophically.

Energy discharged: 33.6 Wh, Peak power: 817 W
